TERMS
A fictional murder game. Keep it a game.
Alibi is a social-deduction party game. Its murders, evidence, accusations, roles and character traits are fictional game mechanics.
Acceptable use
Do not use Alibi to harass, threaten, dox, target or impersonate real people. Server operators are responsible for their community rules, moderation and ensuring participants are comfortable with the game's subject matter.
Discord permissions
Alibi is voice-first. It needs channel-management and messaging permissions to create or use the case voice room and its built-in chat, plus Connect, Speak and Mute Members for audio and phase control. Its bot role must be high enough in the server role hierarchy to mute participating members. Automatic voice-chat TTS is optional and, when enabled by an operator, additionally requires Discord's Message Content intent.
Voice handling
Alibi uses voice playback for music, ambience, sound effects and synthetic TTS. It is not designed to record or transcribe participants' microphone audio.
Availability
Self-hosted operators are responsible for their own uptime, backups, Discord application credentials and deployment environment. Alibi's built-in health endpoint reports whether the process and Discord client are ready.
No real-world inference
Game evidence must not be treated as factual information about a Discord user. Physical-style evidence traits are generated inside the match.
